KRYŠTOF ENGLISH PRESCHOOL and KRYŠTOF CLUB JUNIOR teaching team:

Marielle Pekárková has a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and has been with KLC Kryštof since she moved to Prague in 2005.
Prior to teaching English, she worked as a Marketing Consultant in her native Philippines.

My name's Ayesha. I am a British Pakistani born and brought up in Manchester, UK. In my spare time I love spending time with my family and enjoy a number of sporting activities; roller-blading, swimming, hiking and badminton. I enjoy teaching children very much and am looking forward to my time at Krystof

My name is Ali, and I was born and raised near San Francisco, California. I received my Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Reed College and I obtained my TEFL certification here in Prague. I have taught both English and art, and lived in Italy, France, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. When I'm not dreaming up exciting new lesson plans, I love traveling, reading, writing, photography and painting.

My name is Ashley and I'm from Detroit, Michigan. I went to Western Michigan University and I have a major in English with an emphasis on creative writing. I studied at Charles University in Prague 2 years ago. I loved the city and the people, so I decided to come back and teach English.

I love teaching small children as each day is 'Play' and creating something new with our hands. I enjoy watching their wonderment of discovery and their sense of pride grow when they achieve the amazing. Which could be simply tying their shoe for the first time. I have been teaching ESL for about 10 years after a beginning in childcare, Australia and piano teaching. My key interests are child development and communication. I enjoy painting, music and nature in my free time and time with my family and friends.

I am originally from New Zealand but most recently have lived in Cambridge, England. After an enjoyable career in science (I have a degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry) I followed in my mother's footsteps changing to the more rewarding path of early years education. I have worked with children for the last four years being a Teaching Assistant and Nursery Assistant, as well as being a carer for two autistic individuals, and looking after my friend's two children for over a decade. I enjoy photography, cooking, and most sports.

Bianca is a native English speaker from Santa Monica, California. In 2010, she graduated from the State University of New York and will begin an MBA program in early 2012. Bianca also took an intensive Czech Language course at Charles University, so she has a solid understanding of the Czech language. She is fluent in Portuguese and worked as a Spanish tutor throughout high school.
Bianca finds it a real joy to work with children, especially since their minds can quickly absorb new information. Her hobbies include reading, writing, singing, and cooking.

My name is Rachel Livsey, and I am from the USA. I received my Bachelor's Degree in English and German Education from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in May of 2011. The reason I decided to become a teacher is because I have a constant curiosity to keep learning and I want to inspire my students to have that same curiosity as well. I came to Prague because it is such a wonderful city, and I love exploring new cultures and languages. In my free time I enjoy reading, cooking, going to the movies, and especially traveling. I am greatly looking forward to working with my fellow teachers, parents, and students here at Krystof.

I began my career over 15 years ago as a classroom aide for children with autism and other disabilities for a state-funded program in Massachusetts. Eventually, I became an ABA therapist for children with autism and found that I really enjoyed the language teaching aspects of the program the most. There's no better feeling than teaching a child how to communicate. It empowers the child while also giving him or her a better quality of life no matter what the reasons are for speaking English. This satisfaction and sense of achievement left me wanting more and is why I became an ESL teacher in 2007.

Catherine Chandler grew up near America's Nation's Capital, but moved to the Pacific Northwest to attend university and marry. She studied music and earth sciences at first, then maths and education in her second time at university.
In her varied career, she has been a foot messenger, an office worker and the owner of a jewelry business, before she became a teacher. As a teacher she has worked in Oregon, Alaska, and the Czech Republic.
KLC adults teaching team:

Hello, My name is Hana and I am from Slovakia. I went to bilingual high school and nowadays I study Sociology and Social anthropology on Charles University. One wouldn´t believe how much fun it can be! And regarding my hobbies, I like books, rollerskating, shopping and sightseeing – especially castles and historical monuments.
