Marielle Pekárková has a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and has been with KLC Kryštof since she moved to Prague in 2005.
Prior to teaching English, she worked as a Marketing Consultant in her native Philippines.

My name is Ashley and I'm from Detroit, Michigan. I went to Western Michigan University and I have a major in English with an emphasis on creative writing. I studied at Charles University in Prague 2 years ago. I loved the city and the people, so I decided to come back and teach English.

I love teaching small children as each day is 'Play' and creating something new with our hands. I enjoy watching their wonderment of discovery and their sense of pride grow when they achieve the amazing. Which could be simply tying their shoe for the first time. I have been teaching ESL for about 10 years after a beginning in childcare, Australia and piano teaching. My key interests are child development and communication. I enjoy painting, music and nature in my free time and time with my family and friends.

I began my career over 15 years ago as a classroom aide for children with autism and other disabilities for a state-funded program in Massachusetts. Eventually, I became an ABA therapist for children with autism and found that I really enjoyed the language teaching aspects of the program the most. There's no better feeling than teaching a child how to communicate. It empowers the child while also giving him or her a better quality of life no matter what the reasons are for speaking English. This satisfaction and sense of achievement left me wanting more and is why I became an ESL teacher in 2007.

Catherine Chandler grew up near America's Nation's Capital, but moved to the Pacific Northwest to attend university and marry. She studied music and earth sciences at first, then maths and education in her second time at university.
In her varied career, she has been a foot messenger, an office worker and the owner of a jewelry business, before she became a teacher. As a teacher she has worked in Oregon, Alaska, and the Czech Republic.

My name is Sofía and I graduated in Social Education from A Coruña University. I was born in Spain and I have been learning English since I can remember. Hi, My name is Leah and I'm from Aberdeen, Scotland. I received my BSc from Aberdeen University. Upon graduating I moved to Barcelona where I discovered my love for teaching. I have now been teaching ESL for seven years and I am looking forward to a new adventure in Prague.

I began teaching while serving in the US Army, training soldiers entering the military. After my time in the Army, I began working with children that were having difficulties in school, and children with learning disabilities. My hobbies are reading and music. I began playing the saxophone in elementary school, and have played in concert and jazz bands.

I have a degree in Psychology and a diploma in Early Childhood Education. My love for teaching and fondness for kids have led me to this delightful profession. I had taught English in various levels of education in the Philippines before I moved to Jakarta, Indonesia in 2010 to be an ESL preschool teacher. I enjoy music (singing) and travelling in my free time.

My name is Andrea Arciuolo and I am an American who has been living and teaching in Prague for 5 years. I really enjoy teaching and feel that learning English is very important for people living in our globalized world. Besides teaching I love spending time going out with my dog, socializing with friends, reading and cooking.

My name is Georgiana and I have a Bachelor’s Degree in French from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington as well as a teaching certificate for English as a Second Language. I am a native speaker, American, and have been teaching English to speakers of other languages for five years. I taught for two years in France at various schools and different age levels before returning home to the US to work for two years in an American public school teaching English as a Second language to children age five to seven.

I studied German at Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. I studied English and German, I have been learning French for several years and I have basic knowledge of Spanish. Apart from studying in Prague, I lived in Frankfurt for two and a half years where I studied at Goethe University.
This visit fundamentally influenced my love for German which I expanded to include the living, colloquial language. Although I studied Translation and Interpretation, communicating in German and teaching adults – where I have the most experience - fullfil me the most. In addition to languages, I have plenty of other interests, which include culture, literature, music, astrology, skiing and in the last couple of years also children.

I studied English at Institute for Liberal Education as part of my studies at Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University. I have been teaching English actively since 1996. In addition, I spent three seasons in New Zealand where I was both a softball player and a coach for Under 14´s Girls softball team. As part of my stay, I successfully passed C1 level state language exam, I have an Interpreters and Translators Certificate from the Faculty of Law and I also successfully passed the TOEFL certificate. As an English teacher, I taught pre-schoolers in the Junior Achievement programme and along with teaching I am an active translator. In my spare time, I enjoy sports the most, however, only as an amateur as I finished my softball player career in 2006.

Languages have always been my hobby and it is therefore no accident that I decided for them to be my profession too. I am studying German studies at Faculty of Arts of Charles University and International Relations at University of Economics, Prague. However, I started working on my German during a summer stay in Nürnberg while studying at grammar school and subsequently during one semester at Universität zu Köln in Cologne, Germany. I always try to make my teaching engaging, I focus on current topics and use modern teaching methods. Apart from languages, my hobbies include skiing, cycling, sailing and travelling.

My name is Petra Kovacsova and I am from a little town in Slovakia. Since I can remember I have been surrounded by different languages. First Hungarian, Slovak and Czech thanks to my family and then I learned English and Spanish at school in Slovakia and Britain. My newest Everest to conquer is Japanese. I love foreign languages and I also love teaching them to others. It gives me great satisfaction when my students are able to communicate better and when they are happy with their progress.

Hello, My name is Hana and I am from Slovakia. I went to bilingual high school and nowadays I study Sociology and Social anthropology on Charles University. I have been working in KLC since summer 2009. I teach mostly adults. I enjoy teaching because I consider it important to be able to communicate in other languages. One wouldn´t believe how much fun it can be! And regarding my hobbies, I like books, rollerskating, shopping and sightseeing – especially castles and historical monuments.
